I've added a new link in the Hallmarkers Who Blog list on the right. Four Foodies is a blog that will make your mouth water. Two Hallmarkers, a former Hallmarker, and a non-Hallmarker make up the Four Foodies. I'm placing a video of theirs in this post because I think it showcases the Kansas City farmers' market quite nicely. If you love food (who doesn't?!) check out the Four Foodies. They even include their recipes! Yum!

New on "Hallmarkers Who Blog" List
We just added another fabulous person to the "Hallmarkers Who Blog" list: Teresa L.!
Teresa, from the East Coast, is a senior greetings editor and has been with Hallmark for four years.
Her blog is www.poetprocastinator.blogspot.com. Wait. Procrastinator is misspelled! Teresa says, “that's right. I'm a writer who can't spell, and it's been immortalized in my URL.”
Teresa started her blog in the summer of 2005. The blog is about mostly stuff and also things. “Truthfully, it's just my musings on any given topic. Lately, I've tried to start labeling posts to see if I seem to address certain topics more than others,” Teresa says.
Teresa says she started a blog because all of her friends were doing it. “Seriously, my awareness of blogging (technically as in "web + log" or online journal) coincided with my relocating to a new city for a job opportunity, so I thought it would be a great way to keep my family and friends informed about the goings-on in my life. As irony would have it, my family doesn't read my blog, to my knowledge - they're phone/text people, by and large.”
There is no blog schedule for Teresa. She blogs when she wants and hopes that if a person stumbles across her blog they will enjoy it. “I want people to get from my blog what I get from the blogs I read: the occasional inspiration, something to laugh at, a break from the task at hand, a slice of a life that isn't their own.”

New on "Hallmarkers Who Blog" List
We just added another fabulous person to the "Hallmarkers Who Blog" list: Ana R.! Below is part of her self-authored bio. I can picture Ana saying this out loud -- ah! Another woman who writes like she talks (that is a complement-we could be besties, girl). Keep rockin, Ana!
"Hello. My name is Ana Reinert and I am noticing that I kind of have enormous hair in this picture. Hindsight is always 20/20, isn’t it? Currently, I work as a graphic designer for a tiny little division of a great big greeting card company. Before moving to Kansas City, I lived and worked in Chicago, Albuquerque and Knoxville, TN. I never imagined I’d live in Kansas City but sometimes fate plays a hand in our lives and we just have to go with it. I am also a photographer, frequent doodler, knitter, blogger and a (crazy) cat lady. I obsessively collect office supplies, particularly pencils and pens but I can be swayed off the road by an art supply store as quickly as an Office Depot. Some things can’t be helped..."

31 Veggie Burgers in 31 Days!
Ok. I have to tell you guys about a blog that a fellow Hallmarker is keeping this month. Sergio Moreno is a writer here for Hallmark's Sinceramente line and he LOVES veggie burgers.
Sergio is also turning 31 this month.
March coincidentally has 31 days in it.
Hmmmm.... 31 Veggie Burgers in 31 Days! <---click to see the blog.
Even if you don't love veggie burgers like Sergio does, the blog is worth a look. He is keeping a video diary of all the fun places he's going to eat, so you'll get to see some fine Kansas City establishments.
Oh, and Sergio also a black eye... which I'm hoping he shares the origin of by the end of his veggie burger journey. Bon appétit!

NEW BLOG ADDED
I've added a new blog on the right under "Hallmarkers Who Blog." Heather H. purchased a letterpress a couple weeks ago and is already creating amazing pieces. She's also blogged a bit about how much she loves her job at Hallmark... who doesn't love reading about that!?
Check out Heather H.'s blog:

Vote for the Shoebox Blog in the Pixel Awards!

Hallmark's humor card line, Shoebox, has an excellent blog. I do believe that it was the first Hallmark-related blog on the internet, so it has a long standing tradition of being a hilarious daily dose of funny to thousands of people each day. In fact, it has recently been nominated for a 2008 Pixel Awards in the People's Champ "funny" category. Check out The Shoebox Blog and if it's makin' you crack a smile or even laugh out loud, Vote for Shoebox!

NEW BLOG HEADER
I got cre•a•tive and made a new blog header.
This is the first one I did.
First I had cut out letters by hand from various pages of a magazine. It looked cool, but not legible for the blog. I may keep it for something else.

My new fave blog.
Ya know, I was chatting over an afternoon snack today with my friend Laura, discussing blogs. I still have some feelings of blog-design inadequacy, but then I realized, there are probably a million blogs out there, and not all of them can be more hip & more designerly that the others surrounding it on the www.
I got to thinking, do financial analysts blog about the latest interest rates on high yield savings accounts? Do mechanics blog about the latest hybrid fix-it techniques? Or, do paleontologists blog about how long-term physical changes of global geography, paleogeography, and climate paleoclimate have affected the evolution of life? If they do, I doubt that their blogs are filled with the latest hot eye candy... and I will bet that their blog header is just as plain as mine is. In fact, I'll bet that the authors on these blogs just simply don't give a rip about how their interface looks. It's content that matters, right?
We are our own worst critic: I surround myself with design, art, architecture, photography, illustration, and all things creative every day. Herein lies the reason I am having blog inadequacies... so, I decided to explore new blogs, outside of my everyday world.
Today, I explored the world of food blogs. Here is my new favorite: http://lunchstudio.blogspot.com/ Yum!

Oh, and by the way, I did find a pretty neat paleontologists blog, if you're into that sort of thing...
