WICKED!

Broadway Across America : Wicked

Ah! Yesterday was the last performance of Wicked, it had been playing at the Music Hall downtown since November 11th.

I was lucky enough to enter the Wicked Lottery, it happens 2 1/2 hours before each show. Basically, you enter in the lottery and if your name is drawn you can get really good orchestra seats for 25 dollars! My friend and I went to the 2pm showing (They only pick 10 pairs per show), we sat on the second row and I had an amazing time!!



This was my second musical in Kansas City. I highly recommend the lottery!

The Lion King - Broadway Across America

This Saturday I had the chance of watching Tony Award-winning The Lion King Live presented by Broadway Across America, at the *beautiful* Kansas City Music Hall downtown. It was incredible! I had shivers when Rafiki (played by Phindile Mkhize) opened the show with traditional african singing. There were hundreds of puppets, and the costumes were amazing!, it was a colorful visual treat! WOW! The musical is running until November 16.
